Kyle Lafferty to Sepsi? Northern Ireland striker set for 'spectacular' move to Romanian Liga 1 club

Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty could be on his travels once again.

The former Rangers striker is without a club after being released by mutual consent from Italian Serie B club Reggina last month.

The 33-year-old was being tipped to return to the Scottish Premiership with Hearts and Hamilton both interested, while Hibernian were also being tentatively linked with the Kesh native.

But it has now emerged that Lafferty could be heading to Romania for the next stint in his nomadic football career.

Prosport are reporting that Lafferty - who has also played for clubs in Switzerland, Turkey and Sweden - has agreed terms with Sepsi, who sit fourth in the Romanian Liga 1.

They described the potential move as "spectacular", adding that Lafferty would be "one of the most important players to have played in League 1."

Sepsi currently sit nine points behind third-place Universitatea Craiova as they chase down a European spot.
