Kyle Kuzma to represent Lakers at 2019 NBA Draft Lottery

Kyle Kuzma will represent the Los Angeles Lakers at the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery, the team announced on Tuesday.

Kuzma himself wasn’t a lottery pick, but he’s been a fan favorite in Los Angeles since being drafted with the No. 27 overall pick in 2017 and you could argue that he’d be a lottery pick in a re-draft. The Lakers are probably hoping that some of the luck they had finding Kuzma late in the draft carries over to the lottery.

With a 37-45 record, the Lakers have the 11th-best (or fourth-worst) odds of landing the consensus No. 1 overall pick, Zion Williamson. They also have just a 9.4 percent chance of landing in the top four, where players like Ja Morant, RJ Barrett and Jarrett Culver are expected to be available.

However, even if the Lakers don’t shoot their way up the lottery, there will be a handful of talented players on the board when they’re on the clock on June 20 like Coby White, Brandon Clarke, Bol Bol and Jaxson Hayes.
