Kyle Kuzma says he misses having Lonzo Ball at NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star Weekend tipped off on Friday and while the Los Angeles Lakers are well-represented this year, one of their representatives, Lonzo Ball, couldn’t make the trip and Kyle Kuzma is a little disappointed about it.

During his media availability on Friday, Kuzma admitted he already misses having Ball around for NBA All-Star Weekend:

“I miss him, just because he’s a fellow teammate, somebody you can laugh with. Me and Lonzo are good friends.”

Ball was selected to be part of the Rising Stars Game for the second time, but once again he has to sit out because of an injury. De’Aaron Fox replaced him last year and Kevin Knox will fill his spot on Team USA’s roster this year, according to a press release by the NBA.

Last year, the Lakers had three players selected for the Rising Stars Game with Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram. Kuzma led the trio with 20 points on 9-18 shooting from the field. Given how successful he’s been this season, it’s safe to assume he’ll put up even bigger numbers this year.

The Rising Stars Game will tip-off at 6 p.m. PST on TNT.
