Kyle Kuzma’s PUMA deal is worth approximately $15 million

Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma won’t be eligible to negotiate a contract extension until after this season but he’s already secured a sizable amount of money by becoming the latest NBA player to join PUMA’s stable of basketball endorsers.

Marc Stein of the New York Times reported on Wednesday morning that Kuzma’s new deal with PUMA will be worth approximately $15 million, more than the entirety of his first rookie contract in the NBA. Kuzma was apparently wearing PUMA shoes at Media Day for the Lakers but he’s been unable to participate in practice as he’s been ruled out with a stress reaction for the majority of the preseason.

Kuzma will, however, travel with the Lakers when they head off to China to play a two-game set in the preseason with the Brooklyn Nets. Kuzma also said that while the injury is keeping him out for the next couple of weeks that it isn’t too serious.
