Kyle Kuzma partners with UNINTERRUPTED to give YMCA passes at free camp

While Kyle Kuzma is one of the few players who is a holdover from last year’s Los Angeles Lakers team, the fact that they are teammates aren’t the only thing the third year forward has in common with LeBron James. Kuzma has never been one to shy away from voicing his opinion on things that are important to him but the passion for giving back for Kuzma and James came together at a recent free camp put on my Kuzma in his hometown of Flint, Michigan.

Kuzma surprised all of the attendees at his basketball camp with free YMCA Safe Places passes so that the youngsters can go to the club to have a safe place to play, study and stay after school. Kuzma partnered with UNINTERRUPTED, the sports media company founded and owned by LeBron James.

In the nearly nine-minute video above, Kuzma describes why the YMCA was so important to him growing up in Flint with few options available to him or his mother. Kuzma, who like James comes from an impoverished Midwest background, has put several actions behind his words just like the Lakers leader has over the course of his career.
