Kyle Kuzma on playing with Lonzo, LaMelo Ball: ‘I wouldn’t get any shots’

Kyle Kuzma is more than willing to throw some friendly jabs at Lonzo and LaMelo Ball. With father LaVar Ball attempting to speak his sons playing together in the NBA into existence, Kuzma was asked at Rising Stars Media Day about potentially playing with LaMelo and Lonzo. Kuzma was ready and willing to fire off a shot at the brothers.

“I probably wouldn’t get too many shots because Melo. They would probably play ‘brother ball.'”

LaMelo was quick to fire back at Kuzma on Twitter about the comments.

Kuzma and LaMelo have a history of roasting one another prior to Friday. Earlier this season, LaMelo roasted Kuzma for his fashion style after not appearing in a promo on ESPN for the NBA season. Memorably, the two hashed it out on Ball in the Family during Kuzma and Lonzo’s rookie season.

Despite all that, Kuzma gave LaMelo a pair of his shoes this year, showing the relationship is fun in nature. Kuzma also gave props to LaMelo after the high school senior sported Polo socks in a game this year.

LaMelo and Lonzo have been in the news in recent weeks as a result of their father, LaVar, going on a media tour prior to the NBA trade deadline. LaVar declared Phoenix as the destination for Lonzo and stated that if the Suns added LaMelo and LiAngelo, they would win an NBA title.

LaVar also went at the Lakers young core, calling them ‘raggedy’ without Lonzo on the court due to his injury. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear like LaVar’s comments had any sort of negative effect on the relationship with Kuzma and the Ball boys.
