Kyle Eastmond debut confirmed but Leeds Rhinos dealt double blow

Kyle Eastmond will officially make his Leeds Rhinos debut tonight after being named in the halves for the clash with Wigan Warriors at Headingley.

The 31-year-old has had to be patient in the early weeks of the season but gets his chance against last year’s beaten Super League Grand Finalists.

It is Eastmond’s first rugby league appearance since 2011 and first outing of any kind since last March.

Rhinos head coach Richard Agar has made only two changes with Liam Sutcliffe and Bodene Thompson not fit enough to return to the side.

The other change sees Corey Hall come on to the bench to replace King Vuniyayawa, who suffered a concussion in the Challenge Cup defeat to St Helens.

Eastmond’s inclusion means Cameron Smith moves to loose forward after Zane Tetevano received a four-match ban for a late hit in that match at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Rhinos: Broadbent, T Briscoe, Mellor, A Sutcliffe, L Briscoe, Martin, Eastmond, Oledzki, Leeming, Prior, Walters, Donaldson, Smith.

Bench: Dwyer, Hall, O'Connor, Gannon.

Warriors: Hardaker, Bibby, Isa, Farrell, Hanley, Hastings, Leuluai, Singleton, Powell, Clubb, Bateman, Smithies, Partington.

Bench: Bullock, Havard, Shorrocks, Smith.
