Kyle Dempsey starts in strong side? Bolton Wanderers predicted team vs Fleetwood Town

Bolton Wanderers are poised to name the strongest possible team they can for the final game of the season against Fleetwood Town.

The Whites conclude the campaign at the University of Bolton Stadium as they take on the Cod Army and seek to cement a top 10 finish on their first season back in League One. The club achieved automatic promotion out of League Two last campaign.

There is more riding on the game for the visitors than there is for Bolton, with Stephen Crainey's side still fighting to preserve their League One status.

But Evatt has vowed to pick the strongest team he can for the clash after a good week of training behind them and end the season on a high.

Evatt said: "Rico and Kieran are stepping up their rehabilitation but they won’t be available for Saturday. MJ has got a nasty break of his hand but it is nothing too serious really.

"He has got a bit of a cast which will enable him to fit in a pint glass come the end of the season, which is good for him when he is on his holidays! But other than that, we are all good to go.

"We have a duty to ourselves and our own fans. We are expected to win. We want to win and we’ve trained really, really well this week and I can see with the players and the mindset and mentality there’s been no holiday mode.

“They’ve been at it, they all want to play and we’ll pick the strongest available team to try and win the game.”

Evatt has vowed to pick a strong team and James Trafford is thus likely to play the final match of his loan spell from Manchester City as goalkeeper.

The defence is likely to be unchanged with a potential back three of Gethin Jones, Will Aimson and George Johnston, with Kieran Sadlier and Declan John as the wing-backs.

In central midfield with Williams out, Kyle Dempsey is likely to line up alongside Aaron Morley with Dapo Afolayan in the number 10 role, if Wanderers do play a back three.

And Dion Charles is likely to be partnered by Jon Dadi Bodvarsson in the strike pairing.

Bolton Wanderers predicted starting team vs Fleetwood Town: Trafford; Jones, Aimson, Johnston; Sadlier, Dempsey, Morley, John; Afolayan; Charles, Bodvarsson.
