Kyle Busch is now the winningest NASCAR Truck Series driver, and some fans aren’t impressed

Kyle Busch made NASCAR history Saturday night, becoming the winningest driver in the Truck Series, the third-tier national series. Busch took the checkered flag in the Ultimate Tailgating 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway for his 52nd Truck Series win, breaking his tie with NASCAR Hall of Famer Ron Hornaday Jr. on the all-time wins list.

He survived both a challenge from Johnny Sauter — along with inclement weather with on-and-off rain and fog — to win his first points race of the 2019 NASCAR season. He won both Stage 1 and 2.

At one point, he was positioned 23rd on a restart, but he pushed his way up to the front of the field. He led 92 of 130 laps.

With Saturday’s win in his 146th Truck Series start, Busch also now has 195 total NACSAR wins (51 Cup Series, 92 XFINITY Series).

Busch is also the winningest XFINITY Series driver, and he will also make his 500th Cup Series start Sunday in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, a race he’s won twice in his career.

However, not everyone is impressed with Busch’s feat. Even though there’s a limit on how many XFINITY and Truck Series races a veteran Cup driver can compete in now, there are still several fans who don’t like it when an experienced driver wins one of the lower-tier races — even when the 33-year-old — one of the most polarizing figures on the track — is younger than a couple drivers out there.

And those fans had some jokes and were frustrated after Busch’s win Saturday.
