Ky Bowman inks one-year deal with Warriors, brings two-way possibilities

All players with NBA basketball dreams do not emerge happy after draft night, or the night after draft night or the night after the night after draft night. But some of the undrafted college talent have managed to get a toe into the league with one of the most important teams in modern NBA history — the Golden State Warriors.

Joining the undrafted Dedric Lawson at Summer League will be Ky Bowman, who has inked a one-year deal with the Warriors. In his final college season at Boston College, the 6-foot-1, 188-pound guard averaged 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, four assists and 1.4 steals, according to Alex Kennedy at HoopsHype, who also reported on the signing.

In addition to cool and colorful hair, Bowman brings two-way capabilities to the Warriors. At Boston College, he demonstrated the ability to come up big across the box score. Here are some of his per-game highs:

By the numbers while at BC

44 — points (Dec. 31)

16 — rebounds (Jan. 12)

11 — free throws (Dec. 31)

8 — assists (Feb. 27)

7 — three-pointers (Mar. 5)

5 — steals (Dec. 31)

3 — blocks (Nov. 29)

Bowman and Lawson will be joined in Summer League play by second-year shooting guard Jacob Evans, who is coming off a lackluster rookie year; Alen Smailagic, who impressed the Warriors in G League play and was drafted at No. 39; Jordan Poole, who was drafted by the Warriors at No. 28; and Eric Paschall, who was drafted at No. 41.
