Kuwait registered on Monday two more deaths from the coronavirus.

Health ministry spokesman Abduallah al-Sanad said the victims were a Bangladeshi resident, 49, and an Indian resident, 55. The fatalities take the country’s total to nine.

Eighty new virus cases were reported in the past 24 hours, he told a press briefing, raising the tally to 1,995.

Sanad said 1,619 patients were still receiving treatment, while 62 have recovered, taking the count to 367.

Oman, meanwhile, reported 144 new virus cases, bringing its total to 1,410.

The health ministry said 58 of the new patients were Omanis.

The sultanate has registered seven deaths from the disease.
