Kuwait Emir Hands Crown Prince Some of Emir’s Duties Temporarily

The Emir of Kuwait announed a royal order that authorizes the crown prince to temporarily exercise some of the Emir's constitutional powers, state news agency KUNA reported.

A statement by the Emiri Diwan affairs ministry said the royal order announced on Monday gives Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah some constitutional rights of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
