
Kuwait’s prime minister submitted his government’s resignation on Sunday in a routine procedure after parliamentary elections that took place on Saturday, state news agency KUNA said.
For his part, Kuwait's emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah accepted Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah's cabinet resignation.
"The resignation of the Prime Minister and the ministers is accepted and they are tasked with proceeding in a caretaking manner, addressing urgent affairs, pending formation of a new cabinet," the Decree stated in part, shortly after the premier tendered his cabinet resignation.
