Sheikh Jaber delivered a letter to King Abdullah from Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, which focused on the historic ties between Jordan and Kuwait, as well as keenness to advance them further.

The PM also said that Kuwaiti investments in Jordan are among the highest, standing at about $18 billion and have create needed jobs for Jordanians.

Razzaz welcomed Sheikh Jaber’s visit, stressing that holding the fourth meeting of the joint Jordanian-Kuwaiti higher committee is “clear evidence of the deep” ties.

Razzaz and Sheikh Jaber praised the progress in the Jordanian-Kuwaiti relations over the past years, and expressed keenness to open new scopes of cooperation to serve their interests. The two signed various MoU in the fields of oil, gas, renewable energy, geology and others.

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) also signed with the Jordanian government a memo in the social affairs sector and a grant agreement of $6 million to establish two elementary schools in Amman, to meet the needs of the Syrian refugees and communities hosted in Jordan.

They also approved an amending agreement to reschedule Jordan’s debts to the Fund.

The Fund also granted the government 26 loans for economic and social development projects with a value of $580 million
