Kuwait’s foreign ministry on Friday condemned the assassination of Iran’s top nuclear scientist, according to the state news agency KUNA.

“The ministry expressed ... its rejection of anything that would increase tension and undermine stability in the region,” the statement said, adding condolences to Iran.

Bahrain’s ministry of foreign affairs on Monday condemned the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh in Tehran and called for all parties to show restraint.

“Given what the region is going through, the kingdom of Bahrain calls on all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid the region drifting to new levels of instability and threatening peace,” the ministry added.

A top Iranian security official on Monday accused Israel of using “electronic devices” to remotely kill Fakhrizadeh, who founded the country’s military nuclear program in the 2000s.

Israel, long suspected of killing Iranian nuclear scientists over the last decade, repeatedly has declined to comment on the attack.
