Kuvempu University has decided to conduct examinations for students of post-graduation and graduation courses who had taken admission in the year 2019-20 under distance education mode.
Earlier, the university had decided to promote the students without examination, which attracted criticism.
In an academic council meeting held on March 31, the university took the decision to conduct examinations for the first and second year students in the third week of April. The timetable would be announced soon and examination would be held at study centres, said the Registrar (Evaluation) of the university, in a communication to media.
The earlier decision to promote students without examination had led to a controversy as a few syndicate members had alleged irregularities in declaring the results. They had also complained to the Governor about the university’s move.
