Kurt Zouma sends message to Chelsea fans following return to pre-season training

Kurt Zouma has sent a message to Chelsea fans upon his return to the club following a season long loan spell at fellow Premier League side Everton.

The defender spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Goodison Park, making 36 appearances for the Toffees, scoring two goals. The 24-year-old has previously been on loan at former club Saint Etienne and Stoke City, but Chelsea may just decide to keep him for their first team squad for the 2019/20 season.

Blues players arrived back for pre-season training this week, with Zouma part one of the players starting their preparations ahead of the new campaign.

The squad are currently continuing their training in Dublin, Ireland and the France international found time after the first day to send a message to Blues fans.

"Hello guys, nice to see you again," he said in a video on Chelsea's Twitter page. "That's the first pre-season training done, I'm happy to be back, let's keep going, don't want to stop now."

With Chelsea unable to bring in new players during the summer transfer window due to a transfer ban issued by FIFA, Zouma could prove to be an important member of the squad this season.

The Blues will continue their preparations under new head coach Frank Lampard. They kick off their pre-season campaign on Wednesday (10th July) when they take on Bohemians at Dalymount Park, Dublin, kick off at 7.45pm.
