European champion Kurt Walker has missed out on a medal at the AIBA World Championships in Russia.
The Lisburn featherweight lost out in his quarter-final clash with Mongolia's Tsendbaatar Erdenebat on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old was beaten on a unanimous points decision in Ekaterinburg.
Asian champion and No.3 seed Erdenebat won on all five judges' scorecards - three scored it 30-27 and the other two 29-28.
Walker's exit means it will be the first time since 2007 that Ireland have not won a medal at the World Championships.
