Kurt Angle announces he’s retiring after WrestleMania 35

During Raw on Monday night,  WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle announced he intends to retire following his match at WrestleMania 35 on April 7.

Coincidentally, Angle made the announcement in front of his home-town crowd as Raw took place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

“I’d like to thank the WWE. I’d like to thank every superstar that I shared the locker room with,” Angle said. “But most importantly, I want to thank each and every one of you. You made it so much fun for me. I literally had the time of my life.”

The crowd responded with chants: “Thank you Kurt.”

Fans have been speculating over Angle’s final opponent on Twitter, and John Cena seems to be the favorite. Cena wrestled his very first main-roster match against Angle back in 2002.

In honor of Angle’s pending retirement, it’s only fitting to relive one of his finest moment in the WWE: Milk-o-Mania.
