Kurdish government bans journalists

Iraq's Kurdistan regional government has banned journalists from travelling to the bases of the rebel Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). Government spokesman Jamal Abdullah said media reports had aggravated the crisis with Turkey, which has massed 100,000 troops on Iraq's border and threatened to launch a major military operation to crush PKK fighters.
