Kuhn Celtic training injury clarified as winger spotted with stitches

Brendan Rodgers has revealed Nico Kuhn required stitches after a knock in Celtic training.

The German winger returned to the Celtic starting XI for the match against Hibernian this afternoon.

Kuhn was unavailable against Rangers last weekend as he sat out of the 1-1 draw.

The 25-year-old has a knee issue but is back and fit enough to play from the start at Parkhead today.

However, Kuhn has returned with the addition of a plaster near his left eye. It comes after a knock during the week in Celtic training.

Fortunately, though, Kuhn is able to contribute for his side despite the knock.

On BBC, Rodgers said of having Kuhn back involved: "His speed and goal threat is really important for us. He's had a fantastic season.

"He's got some stitches on his eye where he had a bit of a knock during the week, but otherwise he looks fit and raring to go."
