Krungthai Zmico Securities has changed its corporate name to Krungthai Xspring (KTX) under its strategy to expand into securities trading, wealth management, investment banking and intermarket trading and become a comprehensive financial and investment service provider.
KTX's chief executive ML Thongmakut Thongyai said the new name takes effect from today.
KTX's major shareholders include Krungthai Bank Plc (KTB) and Xspring Capital Plc which hold 50% and 49.70% stakes, respectively.
The company aims to achieve exponential growth and focus more on working with major shareholders to increase competitiveness, deliver more comprehensive services and create a better experience.
With regard to this year, KTX will focus on multi-securities brokerage services including wealth management, investment banking and intermarket trading, as well as looking for new opportunities, such as being an asset manager and underwriter for depositary receipts representing rights in foreign securities.
He said Thailand is currently transforming into a fully digital economy, especially in finance and investment and the company has prepared and developed "WealthMe", a securities trading app that will facilitate investors in opening an account with a quick approval.
ML Thongmakut said KTX's WealthMe app will respond to all investors' needs and allow them to manage investment portfolios anywhere and at any time.
Investors will be allowed to pool all of their assets in one application, including Thai and foreign stocks, derivatives, bonds and mutual funds.
The app will also provide access to a stock analysis system with artificial intelligence, quality analysis of individual domestic and international stocks, including connection to foreign securities and derivatives trading and various tools to help them make investment decisions more efficiently.
