An SME private equity trust set up by Krungthai Asset Management (KTAM) has invested in MTM Holding Co Ltd to reap benefits from the latter's expertise in marketing and public relations for listed companies.
The trust, called Private Equity Trust for SME Growing Together, will provide financial assistance for growing small and medium-sized enterprises. The trust's total assets are valued at about 2.3 billion baht.
Hatton Equity Partners Thailand has been appointed as one of the advisers of the trust's investment strategy.
Hatton managing director Tawat Kitkungvan said KTAM's SME private equity trust launched its investment in MTM Holding last month because the company has extensive experience in devising public relations strategies for listed firms and businesses operating in the financial and investment sphere.
MTM Holding's business has growth potential in line with Thailand's capital market development and the government's support for local and foreign businesses raising funds via the local stock markets, Mr Tawat said.
MTM is a holding firm that has invested in companies associated with PR strategy for finance and investment in Thailand, with MT Multimedia Co Ltd as the core firm responsible for devising PR strategy and initial public offering (IPO) advisory for listed companies and businesses involved with the financial industry.
Paisal Sricharatchanya, chairman of the board at MTM Holding, said the company plans to retain its leading position as a PR strategist for finance and investment for listed companies and asset management firms, together with devising marketing campaigns associated with finance and investment.
MTM Holding will take care of its customers as business partners under the "Your Partner in Strategic Communication" theme and plans to launch an IPO on the Market for Alternative Investment within 3-5 years, said MTM Holding chief executive Yongyoot Fupongsiripant.
