Vegan KT Tunstall chucks black puddings at fans in bizarre stunt at festival gig

KT Tunstall gave her fans the full Scottish at an island summer festival... by raining black puddings on them.

The vegan Suddenly I See musician amused her audience by lobbing the blood sausage rolls into the mosh pit during her show.

Headlining at HebCelt on Lewis, Tunstall shouted "Free black pudding at a KT Tunstall gig, come on.”

Edinburgh-born KT told them: “I can safely say I’ve never done that before.

“I had to send a text earlier that said, ‘Could you please make sure someone has picked the black puddings up for the gig’.

“Thanks so much to Charles MacLeod butchers – lovely.”

Stornoway hand-made black pudding is world-renowned  and a must-have on the breakfast plate of any self-respecting Scot.

KT, 44, acquired a taste for the delicious delicacy when she last played at the Hebridean Celtic Festival in 2011.

At the time, she confessed: “I’m embarrassed about this but I’ve just tried Stornoway Black Pudding – and I liked it.

She begged: “Please don’t tell anybody because I’m vegetarian.”

Black pudding is made from pig’s blood, with pork fat or beef suet, and oatmeal.

Stornoway Black Pudding has official recognition from the EU – protecting it against unauthorised imitation.
