KSrelief, UNFPA Sign Deal to Support Women in Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a joint agreement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to implement a humanitarian project to help females affected by gender-based violence in Yemen.

The agreement was signed by KSrelief Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and the UNFPA's Deputy Executive Director for Management Ib Petersen.

The project aims to help females who survived gender-based violence to reintegrate into society, providing them with psychological and social support through a range of services.

It also aims to boost protection mechanisms and limit the spread of gender-based violence. The agreement includes vocational and professional training programs to empower at-risk women and girls by enhancing their skills and capabilities.

The project will provide support to 28,640 women and girls from the governorates of Aden, Shabwah, Lahij, Al Mahrah, Marib and Hadramout.

This agreement is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive support to the Yemeni people.
