
Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, met in Geneva on Wednesday the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, on the sidelines of the Pledging Conference on Yemen 2019 being held in Geneva.
During the meeting, they reviewed means of enhancing cooperation and strategic partnership between KSrelief and the UNHCR, especially joint projects in Syria and Bangladesh to support Syrian refugees in the host countries and the minority Rohingya refugees in neighboring countries, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
High Commissioner Grandi praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's generous commitment to Yemen's humanitarian response plan and its efforts to alleviate the sufferings of the Yemeni people.
Rabeeah also met with the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, on the sidelines of conference.
According to SPA, the two sides discussed the effective partnership between King Salman Center and the Organization, especially their joint programs in Yemen, Syria and Bangladesh.
Director General Adhanom praised the pioneering role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially the generous donation at United Nations pledging conference on Yemen.
