KSRelief Signs 16 Agreements to Implement Programs to Combat Blindness in 7 Countries

Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has signed 16 agreements with Al-Basar International Foundation to implement programs to combat blindness in seven countries.

The agreements were signed by KSRelief's Assistant General Supervisor of Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi and Secretary General of the Al-Basar International Foundation Dr. Adel bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashoud.

In a press statement, Dr. Al-Ghamdi said that the programs to be implemented to combat blindness and diseases will be conducted through 16 campaigns in seven countries: Bangladesh, Yemen, Cameroon, Nigeria, Morocco, Eritrea and Pakistan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

According to Ghamdi, the number of cases to be checked is 100,000 medical cases, 10,000 operations to be conducted and 20,000 medical glasses to be distributed by the end of 2019.

This comes within the various relief programs implemented by Saudi Arabia through the center to help the needy around the world.
