Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court, General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabee'ah stressed that Saudi Arabia pays special attention to the education sector because it plays a vital role in the development of societies and their living conditions.
KSRelief programs and projects in the educational sector have benefited 2,393,097 people in 32 countries, he told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
It has implemented a total of 132 programs and projects worth $5,212,929,000, he revealed.
Its work has been possible with 27 partners, including United Nations agencies, such as UNICEF, UNESCO, UN-Habitat and the World Food Program.
He explained that Yemen has benefited the most from KSRelief projects, followed by Syria, Indonesia, Guinea, Egypt, China, Niger, Morocco, Cuba, Lebanon, Mauritania, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Vietnam, Uganda, Malawi, Tunisia, Chad, the Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Benin, Pakistan, Cameroon, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Iraq, Zambia and India.
These efforts are part of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian mission, represented by KSRelief, to spread education for peoples in countries in need according to the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
