King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) urged the UN to assume its humanitarian and social responsibilities against Houthi militias’ crimes that have ravaged the country.
It strongly condemned the attack by Houthis on Bani Jaber camp for the displaced in al-Khokha, Hodeidah governorate, on Friday.
Three missiles were launched by Houthi militias and hit the camp, which is run by the KSRelief. The Center described the attack as “a heinous crime” that did not respect the principles of human rights and international humanitarian law.
"They have repeatedly looted the humanitarian aid offered by the Center, hindered the delivery of aid to needy people in Yemen and intimidated civilians in refugee camps, including women, children and elderly people,” KSRelief noted.
On the other hand, KSRelief continued Thursday distributing food baskets in Bani Jaber camp in coordination with the legitimate government.
It distributed five tons and 280 kg of food baskets, benefiting 420 displaced persons.
This comes within the framework of distributing 20 thousand food baskets and 14,230 date cartons to the people of the governorate to alleviate their suffering as a result of the humanitarian crisis they have been experiencing.
It also distributed 13,500 food baskets to the displaced people in Shabwa governorate, in coordination with the legitimate government, in addition to 45 tons of food baskets in al-Khab, Shaaf, al-Aishah and al-Sailil districts in Al-Jouf Governorate, benefiting 3,600 persons.
This distribution comes within a project, conducted by the Center, to distribute more than 102,170 food baskets, targeting the people of several Yemeni provinces in order to alleviate their suffering.
KSRelief also distributed clothes and foodstuffs to 230 widows in Mukalla, Houra, Wadi al-Ain, Huraida and al-Qattan in Hadramout governorate to widows in several Yemeni governorates.
This distribution comes within the framework of the humanitarian projects, provided by the Kingdom and represented by the Center, for the Yemeni people, which have so far reached 286 projects.
