
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) completed on Thursday the technical equipment of the Oncology Unit at the Shabwa General Hospital, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
It also delivered a new set of medicines, supplies and medical solutions.
Director of the Department of Health and Environmental Assistance at KSRelief Dr. Abdullah Al-Moallem said that the supply, installation, operation and training of the health staff on the medical equipment was provided by the Center in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and Population.
The initiative is aimed at providing diagnostic services to Yemenis in all regions to reduce the burden of traveling abroad to receive medical treatment, he explained.
He stressed KSRelief’s keenness to provide services in all humanitarian and relief sectors to preserve the dignity of the Yemeni people.
Abdullah said that a new batch of medicines and supplies has been delivered to complement the system of services that the Center is keen to provide to Yemeni patients.
The Director-General of the Office of Public Health and Population in Shabwa Nasser Hussein Al-Bassi expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its humanitarian efforts to support the health sector throughout Yemen.
