KSI tells parents this is 'a good' way to find Prime as kids still desperate to get hold of it

If you thought that demand for the Prime drink would die off in 2023, you thought wrong.

Kids are still going crazy for the brightly coloured bottles of the stuff, marketed by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul.

Asda was the exclusive stockist, but then Aldi stepped in with a Special Buy which saw crowds scrambling for the stuff, and now it's being sold from Spar shops, petrol stations, you name it.

But getting hold of it appears to be as tricky as ever, with stores selling out as soon as stock arrives and smaller retailers selling the £2 RRP drink for £10 or more.

KSI himself has been speaking of how difficult it is to get hold of the drink and has given his support to an app that is tracking stock levels to help people find it.

Prime Tracker UK launched just a week after the drink first emerged on the market back in June. It's only available on the App Store at the moment but is coming to android in the next few days.

It costs people 89p to download and they can input their postcode to see live stock levels in their area.

Speaking about the app, KSI said: "Basically there's this app which allows you to try and find where Prime is actually in stock - whether it's Aldi, whether it's Asda, whether it's a Spar, literally it shows you everywhere where there's Prime.

"A lot of the time it's just this, it's just red [shows the screen]. The closest place for me to get Prime in stock is Baskingstoke, which is 45 miles away, so I guess that's why people are very excited when they get Prime because it's just so hard to find."

He added: "I know so many people who have yet to even taste Prime, like they haven't tried any of the flavours, let alone the new flavours, but yes, any parents watching, this is a good app to try and find some Prime."

Tom Bastable, who created the app, said: "I just made it after Asda stopped allowing customer service to communicate stock over socials. They don’t provide any type of online stock system either. I’m just a massive fan.

"KSI gave us a shout-out once in a Q&A, but this was the first time he actually acknowledged the app and recommended it. He’s interacted with us on Twitter a bunch too. It’s really awesome to have his support."

Figures for the number of Prime Tracker UK app downloads have not been released, but Tom said his Twitter following - of 22.7k people - 'represents just a fraction of our app user base'.

Many of those using it will likely be from the north west, as Liverpool, Blackburn and Manchester are among the top five places in the UK where the drink is most sought after.

Experts at gamblingngo.com analysed how many monthly Google searches for Prime Energy drinks are made per 1,000 people in the largest UK towns and cities to determine where the viral craze has caused the most demand.

Asda is continuing to get regular deliveries of the drink and it's likely that Aldi, where photos have emerged of Prime stock in warehouses, will soon be selling more of the bottles in stores.
