KSI reluctantly predicts Jake Paul will beat Tommy Fury in grudge fight

Jake Paul's greatest rival, KSI, has reluctantly predicted that he would win if he ever managed to make a grudge fight with Tommy Fury happen.

The Paul and KSI feud dates back more than double the time of his rivalry with Fury, who emerged as a potential opponent at the start of last year. But fans are clamouring to see the American face Love Island star and unbeaten boxer Fury, whose brother is world heavyweight champion Tyson.

And KSI, who has also expressed interest in fighting Fury, believes that should the pair ever actually fight, Paul would find a way to win. The pair have twice signed to fight, but both times the Brit pulled out - first due to injury and second as a result of a travel issue that saw him unable to get into America.

"I think, I hate to say it, I think Jake will win it," KSI responded when asked about the potential fight at yesterday's press conference for his own bout with Dillon Danis. "I think Tommy hasn't really been tested - he's been tested a few times chin-wise and he has been a bit wobbly.

"And I just think Jake has just dedicated more time to the training compared to Tommy. I think Tommy just does the boxing because it's the thing to do in his family. But I don't think he's as dedicated as someone like Tyson or his other brothers. So I think Jake will win that, as much as I hate to say it."

Paul responded to KSI's prediction on Twitter, thanking his rival for the kind words and jokingly calling Fury by his nickname 'Timmy'. "KSI actually telling the truth for once!" Paul wrote in a tweet with a clip of KSI's prediction. "I’m flattered I’m your ultimate goal in boxing and you know what happens with Timmy."

Fury and Paul are locked in contract talks over a fight deal that would see the Love Island star make a massive $2million (£1.6m) purse to finally make the fight happen. However, talks have stalled due to Paul's insistence on negotiating through Queensberry Promotions rather than work with Global Titans, who appear to have some sort of multiple-fight deal with the Brit.

The pair came head-to-head in Dubai last month at the Deji vs Floyd Mayweather event at the Coca-Cola Arena. Fury competed in a farcical exhibition with Rolly Lambert in the co-main event, while Paul was scathing in his assessment while commentating, ultimately leading to them getting into an altercation at ringside.
