KSI insists he is "very serious" about "destroying" Tommy Fury in grudge fight

YouTube boxer KSI has insisted that he is "very serious" about fighting Tommy Fury, and is pushing for four major fights as he continues his fighting career.

The Brit is set to take on 9-0 professional boxer Joe Fournier on May 13 at the OVO Arena Wembley, and while he has previously stated that he wants to retire at the end of the year, he appears to have multiple fights on his mind. After conquering the UK with sell-out shows as a musician and a fighter at the O2 and Wembley as well as Staples Center in LA, he wants to go international next.

KSI, whose real name is JJ Olatunji, is one of the most recognisable faces in the UK after successful ventures across pop culture including a thriving YouTube channel, a No.1 rap album and an undefeated boxing career. But he plans to hit the Philippines and Brazil in an effort to beat home favourites Salt Papi and Whindersson Nunes.

Speaking with the Misfits Boxing YouTube channel, KSI explained his plans saying: "I've got some sick ideas like me fighting Nunes in Brazil, I think that would be dope. Or me fighting Salt Papi in the Philippines would be nuts. Then me fighting Jake Paul whenever he f***ing wants to fight me.

"Or me fighting Tommy Fury in Wembley or the Manchester Arena. Bro, these are the things that I want to do, I want to do big things and I'm prepared, I'm always ready, always training hard and you can see every single camp and every time you see me at the weigh-in I'm ripped and I'm ready.

"I'm prepared because I put my all into it. Then, while I'm putting my all into it, I'm still promoting the fight. I'm still doing Sidemen videos, still doing music, I'm still doing Prime and all of these other things so there's no excuse. For me, it's all 'go, go, go' and let's just win."

And despite watching Paul, who is considered the No.1 YouTube boxer by many, lose a relatively one-sided fight to Fury back in February, KSI believes that he is the man that can hand the Love Islander his first defeat. It remains to be seen what the Manchester native, whose brother is world heavyweight champion Tyson, will do next, but he has said he plans a big event for his ring return.

"I think Tommy Fury would be a great test for me," he told TalkSPORT. "I love being tested, I love pushing myself and what I also love is that everyone is instantly counting me out. This happened when I fought Joe Weller, this happened when I fought Logan Paul, it just constantly happens.

"People think I’m the underdog and there’s no way I have a chance of winning, but I’m like ‘cool, put me in there then, let’s see’. I love it, I’m here for it and imagine when I come through and knock him out. I feel that I can [KO] him, I have the power and the pace.

“Tommy let’s f***ing do this bro, don’t be a b****, don’t be a p****. I’m here, I’m ready, I’m going to do what Jake Paul couldn’t do, I’m here for it. I think it would do crazy numbers and for me that’s what I want.”
