Krystof Hampl posts Rangers signing pic and reveals joy at joining Ibrox club

Czech midfielder Krystof Hampl has spoken of his joy at joining Rangers .

The former Manchester United trialist has impressed in a number of matches for the Rangers youth team including at the U17 Spartak Cup in August.

Hampl was expected to sign a two-year deal with the Ibrox club from Czech side FK Pardubice last month.

Now the 16-year-old, who has also had trial spells with Benfica, has confirmed he has made the move to Glasgow.

Posting on Instagram the playmaker said: “I’m happy to join this club, ready for new challenges.”

Rangers youngster Dire Mebude was one of the first to reply to the post with a simple "bro" accompanied by a heart.

Hampl started for the Rangers youths as they thumped Hibernian 4-0 in Edinburgh last week.

He will spend the next two years developing in the Academy at the Hummel Training Centre.

The teenager's agent, Emil Kovarovic, said: "He was more interested in working with a Scottish club.

"He attended a Moscow tournament in August and then got an offer for a move."
