Kroenke family spotted at Denver Nuggets game as Arsenal prepare Declan Rice £100m transfer bid

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke and his son, Josh, were spotted attending the Denver Nuggets' NBA finals game against Miami Heat on Monday night. Stan is the owner of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which is the holding company of the Gunners and Nuggets.

Denver's NBA finals success over the Heat now means Arsenal are the only Kroenke-owned sports team not to have won a major title in their respective field. The Kroenke's were present to watch the Nuggets win their first NBA championship in franchise history ahead of Arsenal preparing to lodge a £100million offer to sign West Ham captain Declan Rice.

The Gunners fell short in the Premier League title race in the final few weeks of the season despite leading eventual treble winners Manchester City for the majority of the campaign. Since Kroenke became the majority shareholder in 2011, the north Londoners have won four FA Cups and four Community Shield titles, but are yet to lift England's most prized trophy.

Mikel Arteta will be looking for major investment in the playing squad this summer to close the gap to City and end Arsenal's Premier League title drought. Arsene Wenger was the last manager to lift the iconic trophy back in 2004 - nearly 20 years ago.

It seems Stan Kroenke is willing to meet Arteta's demands and offer significant investment this summer with the signing of Rice a priority for the north London outfit. Reports have stated that West Ham are ready to accept an offer from the Gunners that could reach a final value over £100million - including achievable add-ons.

Moises Caicedo is another target for Arsenal with Brighton valuing the Ecuadorian international at a fee in the region of £85million. Arteta is hoping to reinforce his defence and add a versatile attacker to the squad which could see the Gunners' spending break the £200million mark in one transfer window.
