Kristoffer Ajer's Celtic trademark prompts transfer warning as star told he'd be 'found out' in the Premier League

Gabriel Agbonlahor fears Kristoffer Ajer would be "found out" in the Premier League.

The Celtic star was linked with a move to Newcastle United following a claim the club sent scouts to watch him during last weekend's Premiership defeat to Rangers.

Ajer reportedly wanted to leave Parkhead last summer and is among a number of players expected to move on this summer.

But former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor has questioned whether he's cut out for England's top-flight and insists he wouldn't be allowed to embark on his trademark surging forward runs.

He told Football Insider: "I think he’s a good player but I don’t see him in the Premier League, to be honest.

“He might get found out in the Premier League. You’ve got to respect how big the Premier League is.

“I’m not sure about that, I don’t think he’s ready for the Premier League yet.

“He wouldn’t get the time on the ball in the Premier League. You can’t be flying forward in the Premier League like he does.”
