Neil Lennon has pledged Kristoffer Ajer his support amid intense transfer speculation surrounding the Celtic star.
Centre-back Ajer is understood to be on AC Milan 's radar as they hunt for defensive reinforcements.
The Serie A club's technical director Paolo Maldini name-checked the Norwegian earlier this week but insisted no talks were currently ongoing.
Lennon backed that up on Wednesday by insisting there's been no offers received but acknowledged the interest can be difficult for a player.
Ajer is set to start against Riga in Europa League qualifying on Thursday night and, following a one-on-one chat, Lennon has no concerns over his mental state.
The Celtic boss said : "He's very focused.
"He'll start tomorrow, he's looking forward to the game.
"You can't control speculation - there's been no concrete offers, no confirmation of anything and we don't want to sell him.
"He's in a good place mentally, I spoke to him on it yesterday.
"I'm there as support for him, sometimes it can be a very distracting situation he finds himself in.
"He's all getting the support he can from myself, my backroom team and obviously his team-mates.
