Kristoffer Ajer dismisses Celtic transfer talk as defender vows to focus on trophy chase

Kristoffer Ajer insists he has no interest in contracts or transfer talk as he focuses fully on winning more medals with Celtic.

The defender’s progression at Parkhead has led to scouts keeping a close eye on his progress.

But right now his only concern is helping Neil Lennon and his team-mates to more silverware and further progress in the Europa League.

Ajer still has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal which will keep him at the club until at least the summer of 2022.

He said: “I’m really happy. I’ve got two-and-a-half years at Celtic and I’m happy with it.

“I love playing for the club. All talks of contracts is between my agent and the club and I’m just concentrated on being the best footballer I can.

“I’m not fussed about speculation. I’m happy here and want me and the club to have a fantastic next six months. This is a great place to be. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
