Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer has completed a move to Premier League new boys Brentford.
The Norwegian defender made clear his desire to leave Celtic Park earlier this summer and his wish has been granted after signing a long-term deal with the Bees.
Ajer entered the final year of his contract and indicated it would be best for all parties if he moved on for a fee this summer.
The fee is understood to be in the region of £13.5million.
He leaves Celtic having lifted three Premiership titles, three League Cups and three Scottish Cup trophies.
But he leaves with the best wishes of Celtic as they wrote on their website: "Norwegian defender, Kristoffer Ajer has joined English Premier League newcomers Brentford ahead of the 2021/22 season.
"He joined Celtic as a teenager after picking up rave reviews as a midfielder in his native Norway, but switched to centre-back with the Hoops and a spell on loan with Kilmarnock in 2017 primed him for first-team football with the Hoops.

"Known for celebrating goal-stopping tackles as much as strikers celebrate goals, he scored seven goals in 177 games in green and white, and played an important part in winning each of the 12 consecutive trophies lifted in four seasons, including scoring the final spot-kick that secured the unprecedented Quadruple Treble.
"Everyone at Celtic wish Kristoffer every success in his future career down south and thank him for his role in the club’s success in recent years."
Celtic have moved quickly to replace Ajer as they have signed Swedish defender Carl Starfelt from Rubin Kazan in a deal worth £4.3m.
The 26-year-old has made the switch from Russia and is set to arrive in Glasgow in the coming days after finishing off his time in quarantine.
Starfelt has signed a four-year deal at the Premiership title hopefuls and his capture will serve as a huge boost to manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Parkhead boss has fought hard to get some summer reinforcements after candidly admitting his squad needed more bodies.
And he's followed up the signing of talented attacker Kyogo Furuhashi from Japan's Vissel Kobe by adding Starfelt to the Hoops' defensive ranks.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou said: “I am really pleased agreement has been reached and we are really looking forward to Carl joining up with the squad.
"Carl is an experienced player and someone with the attributes to be a real success at Celtic.
"He is a strong, athletic and committed defender and will add quality to our squad. I am sure he will be a player our supporters will welcome warmly and someone who will be really important for us going forward.”
The signing has come too late to feature straight away in the club's immediate task at hand – qualification to the Champions League against Midtjylland.
Like Furuhashi - and indeed Postecoglou himself last month - if jetting in from Russia then Starfelt has to fulfil a period of self-isolation.
But regardless it's an important capture given Kris Ajer's £13.5m switch to English Premier League new boys Brentford.
