Manchester United take on Kristiansund in Norway this afternoon is a poignant pre-season game for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer leads United against his hometown club in Oslo, with the Red Devils manager set to receive a hero's welcome at Ullevaal Stadium.
The United boss named as strong a starting XI as possible (save for Paul Pogba on the bench) as his plans for the new season take shape with only two games left before the Premier League campaign kicks off against Chelsea on August 11.
Solskjaer said of United's Norwegian opponents: "Every year for the last 15 years they’ve bettered their results and gone on, they’ve got higher and higher.
"They’ve got to get to third or fourth this season to keep that run going so that’s quite an achievement.
"I think this is a special day for everyone. All their players will be looking forward to this as if it’s Christmas Eve."
