Kristian Dennis attracting interest as striker weighs up future at Notts County

Kristian Dennis is attracting interest from several league clubs as the Notts County forward contemplates his future at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies striker still has another year to run on his contract at Notts who were relegated to the National League last season.

Dennis found it hard to nail down a place in Neal Ardley’s side last season and was subsequently sent out on loan to Grimsby in January.

He scored one goal during his time at Blundell Park but returned a week early from his loan spell finishing because of a hip injury.

But despite enduring a difficult season following his big-money move from Chesterfield last summer, Dennis is attracting interest given his history.

The season before last he smashed in 21 goals for Chesterfield which prompted Notts to pay a significant sum for the 29-year-old.

And even though he suffered a bit-part role for Notts last term, he still managed seven goals for the campaign including a hat-trick against Doncaster in the Checkatrade Trophy.

A number of clubs are thought to be weighing up a move for the striker and it is understood Notts would not stand in the forward’s way should he receive an offer to return to the league.
