Coronavirus: Kristen Bell says waiving rent for tenants during pandemic was a 'no brainer'

Kristen Bell has said her and husband Dax Shepard’s decision to waive their tenants’ rent during the coronavirus pandemic was a “no-brainer”. 

The outbreak is having an unprecedented effect on employment and the economy as businesses close and people are put out of work due to social distancing measures. 

Earlier this week, it was reported that Bell and Shepard, who own residential properties in LA, had decided to waive their tenants’ rent for April. 

Appearing on the Bobby Bones radio show, the Good Place star explained that her attitude was “people over profit”. 

A number of celebrities have been doing their part to raise awareness and help those most affected during the pandemic.

The videos were filmed by the stars from their homes and producer by Contagion director Steven Soderbergh.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who tested positive for coronavirus while Hanks was shooting a film in Australia, recently returned home to LA.
