Actress Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard have joined Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher in sharing how little they bath their kids.
The 41-year-old Hollywood star and her partner revealed their approach to washing six-year-old daughter Delta and eight-year-old son Lincoln is not all that different to parents Ashton and Mila.
Mila and Ashton told Dax on his podcast that they wait until "you can see the dirt on them" to bathe their kids, while busy parents Kristen and Dax simply just "forget".
Unlike Mila and Ashton, Kristen tends to wait for "the stink" as a reminder to wash her kids.
"I'm a big fan of waiting for the stink," Kristen shared during an appearance on The View. "Once you catch a whiff, that's biology's way of letting you know you need to clean it up."
She added: "There's a red flag. Because honestly, it's just bacteria," she added. "And once you get the bacteria, you gotta be like, 'Get in the tub or the shower'."
Making reference to Mila and Ashton, she concluded: "I don't hate what they're doing. I wait for the stink."
Dax revealed when their two kids were younger, they had a routine which meant they would get bathed every night - but that started to shift as they got older.
"Somehow, they just started going to sleep on their own without the routine, and by George, we had to start saying, 'Hey, when's the last time you bathed them?'" he shared.
It comes after Ashton and Mila, who share daughter Wyatt, six, and son Dimitri, four, revealed they only wash their children 'when you can see the dirt on them.'
The pair, who starred in an episode of Dax's podcast, also said that they also rarely use soap because they don't want their kids' delicate skin to become dry.
Surprised by their responses, Dax asked: "Who taught you to not wash?"
Mila responded: "I didn't have hot water growing up as a child so I didn't shower very much anyway."
"I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns, ever," added the mum, 37.
Ashton, 43, added that they will only wash their kids if they can physically see the muck on them.
"If you can see the dirt on them, clean them," he said. "Otherwise there's no point."
