When it comes to doughnuts, there's surely only one true king: Krispy Kreme.
And now the tasty American doughnut chain have upped the ante even further, by releasing their very own Krispy Kreme flavoured ice cream.
Apparently tasting exactly like one of their signature treats, the news was announced by the brand on its Instagram page last night, captioned “As if we weren’t cool enough... Imagine… Ice Kreme that tastes just like our signature Original Glazed doughnuts…”.
Excited? You won't have to wait long for that glorious first taste of the frozen sweet treat, with the new Krispy Kreme ice cream being available from selected restaurants today, and costing a decent £1.95.
And it gets better, with customers given the option to add either chocolate or caramel sauce to the top of their ice cream for the ultimate summer snack.
If you've got an extra £1 to spare, you can then also add doughnut bites to the top too for £2.95 in total, or if you want to go the whole hog, you can also add a doughnut to the mix, piling the ice cream on top of a glazed doughnut for £3.50. Genius.

Unsurprisingly, the announcement has garnered a lot of attention from avid ice cream and Krispy Kreme fans, who can't wait to get their hands on the stuff.
While one keen customer commented saying "What!! Best day ever! I'm going to go after work", another praised the brand for its unique new initiative, saying "BEST. IDEA. EVER."
Sadly, there is one small catch: the ice cream will only be available in select locations across the UK for the time being. We've got the full list below.
