Krispy Kreme in Edinburgh is giving away free donuts and hot drinks to NHS staff, police and fire crews this week.
The Hermiston Gait store will be opening its drive-thru on Thursday, 23 April, for frontline staff working hard to keep us all safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Edinburgh shop is one of nine across the UK taking part in the brilliant offer.
Those who qualify for the offer just need to show some ID, and they'll be given a complimentary hot drink and original glazed donut three-pack.
New safety measures will be in place at the store to protect staff and customers, with reduced lines of donuts and social distancing measures. The drive-thru is now totally contactless too.
Krispy Kreme has also started a "serve half a million smiles" campaign where they work to deliver half a million donuts to hospitals, charities, food banks, police stations and other community heroes.
People can nominate their own community heroes by emailing servingsmiles@krispykreme.co.uk.
Krispy Kreme CEO Richard Cheshire, said : “Our mission to create smiles and bring joy has never been more important. We know we aren’t saving lives, but we hope to do something as small and simple as making someone smile. It’s our way of saying thank you to people far and wide who are working so hard to keep our nation moving, safe and well at the moment.”
