Krispy Kreme at Glasgow Fort opens with doughnut lovers queuing from 5am

A sweet new resident arrived at Glasgow Fort this morning - with one doughnut lover queuing from 5am.

Dozens of doughnut lovers lined up to see the new store and get their hands on some freshly made, tasty treats.

Yin Lee was first in line to be served at the first of its kind store and had an a-glaze-ing time, queuing from 5am to bag herself a £150 voucher.

She said: “I’m so excited that Scotland’s first Krispy Kreme rocket has landed in Glasgow and to be first in line at the brand-new store makes it even more brilliant.

"I’m so pleased with my voucher - I know my friends and family will be more than happy to share the doughnuts with me."

Not only was Krispy Kreme’s spin-to-win wheel on hand to offer shoppers the chance to win delicious delights, but its very own magician was also at the store throughout the afternoon to keep the magic moments going.

But fear not if you missed out on the opening day fun as Krispy Kreme is keeping the buzz going, bringing even more delight to their devoted Glaswegian fans with their very own buzz wire challenge, which will give shoppers the chance to win even more treats at the new store on Saturday, March 30 from 12pm–4pm

Centre Director at Glasgow Fort, Phil Goodman, said: “We’ve welcomed some exciting new brands to Glasgow Fort over the past year and Krispy Kreme is the perfect addition to that list. It’s even more exciting that it will be Scotland’s first ever rocket store.

“There’s a whole range of delicious doughnuts to choose from so we’re sure plenty of our shoppers will be stopping by to treat themselves while they enjoy their day out with us.”
