Kris Lindsay parts company with Dungannon Swifts

Kris Lindsay has parted company with Dungannon Swifts by mutual consent.

The former Irish League defender had been in charge at Stangmore Park since September 2018.

Dungannon currently sit bottom of the Danske Bank Premiership table following Tuesday night's 1-1 draw with Warrenpoint Town.

Lindsay had signed a two-year contract extension in April last year after impressing in the Stangmore Park hot-seat.

The post was his first managerial role following a successful coaching spell at Glenavon.

Head of Youth Development, Dixie Robinson, has been named as interim manager for the rest of the season.

"We would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank Kris for the commitment and desire he showed during his time in charge at Stangmore. We can not fault his 100% effort," said chairman Keith Boyd.

“Kris has been a pleasure to work with over the last couple of years. I’m disappointed it hasn’t worked out with him for the long term with Dungannon Swifts.

"I’ve made a friend in football with Kris and we would welcome him back to Stangmore Park at any time. I wish him well for the future.”
