If there’s one thing the internet rejoices in, it’s when the Kardashian-Jenner clan takes their love of FaceTune just one step too far. In today’s latest bungle, Kris Jenner has sparked rumours that she has six toes — and it’s the third time a member of pop culture’s first family has found themself in the same predicament.
On Monday (local time), our momager queen posted on Instagram to show off the Oscar de La Renta dress she wore to her mother Mary Jo‘s 91st birthday lunch. Naturally, Kris looked gorgeous in the flowing animal-print-inspired ensemble and perfectly executed facelift.
In the comments, fans were fixated on two specific things about the photo: How incredibly young she looked for a 69-year-old and the number of toes Kris had on her left foot.
“You have six toes?” commented one confused fan.
“Six toe steppa,” said another.
While some fans seemed to believe wholeheartedly that our fearless Kardashian leader had an extra set of phalanges, others claimed it was just the “beige” bit of her shoe coming through.
“No, only five, it’s the sandal that has beige inside!” said another fan.
Personally, I think they’re on the right track and that the sandal, combined with a little foot-smoothing FaceTune, has made it look like she has an extra toe, but I’ll let you be the judge in the photo below.
The funny thing is, it’s not the first time that a member of the Kardashian family has had to brush off rumours that they have an extra toe.
Back in 2019, fans called out a KKW Beauty campaign for Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner‘s perfume collaboration for strange Photoshop. The ad showed both the dark-haired beauties in slinky body suits holding perfume bottles. However, all eyes were on Kim’s left foot.
Annnnnnnndddd now it’s time for a close-up.
When Page Six approached a rep for the Kardashians, they were told that the extra toe was an illusion created by the sideways angle of her foot, and not Photoshop.
However, the allegations of an extra little piggie did not stop there!
After many, many photos featuring this particular “illusion”, Kim set the record straight by filming a video of her tootsies. In the vid, which she posted on her IG Stories, she films her feet and counts out her five toes.
That’s right, she posted free feet on the internet. I imagine it must have been a very exciting day for quite a few online communities.
In the same video, Kim claimed that rather than having an extra toe, the illusion is created by a fleshy part of her foot.
While not everyone is sold on Kim’s video (I love the commitment to the Kardashian six-toe conspiracy, I’ll admit), I’ll let you be the judge in the video below.
Perhaps the extra fleshy foot is a hereditary trait passed on from Kris? Or maybe, just maybe, the Kardashians are genetically predisposed to having an extra toe that they’ve consistently been hiding during their time in the spotlight.
