Kris Jenner receives hostile welcome on stage while introducing Culture Club

Despite being at the helm of one of television’s must successful families and having an army of fans, who when totalling her and her daughters Instagram followers amass to over 250 million, Kris Jenner’s recent reception at a concert proves there are a fair few who still aren’t keen to keep up with the Kardashians.

Almost immediately after taking to the stage to introduce the Culture Club at the iHeartRadio ‘iHeart80s’ concert in Los Angeles on Saturday night, Jenner’s voice appeared to be drowned out by a loud barrage of noise as seen and heard in a video from the event.

Ever the professional, the ‘momager’ persevered throughout, describing her “obsession” with the singer’s music, fashion and style before explaining their personal friendship, including his appearance at her 60th birthday party (which was recently aired on Keeping up with the Kardashians, of course).

At points during the minute-long awkward viewing a male voice can be heard shouting “ Hey… hey people” in a bid to calm the rowdy crowd down, which according to iHeartRadio was Boy George himself.

IHeartRadio, the organisers of the event which also saw performances from Billy Idol and Tears for Fears, also tweeted to ask fans if they were surprised at the reaction Jenner received.

Even if the crowd didn’t appreciate Jenner’s appearance, Boy George did and thanked her after the show while also referencing the matching fedoras they both wore.

Jenner is the mother and manager of Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner. She is also an executive producer of Keeping up with the Kardashians, of which the final episode of the 11th season was aired in the US on Sunday evening.
