Kris Jenner: ‘I don’t know what 70 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great’

Kris Jenner has opened up about ageing, family and legacy as she prepares to celebrate her 70th birthday this November and insists that she has no plans to slow down any time soon.

In a new interview, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch reflected on her extraordinary career, her approach to cosmetic surgery, and her determination to keep working well into her eighties.

“I don't know what 70 is supposed to feel like, but I feel great and I’m happy to be there,” told Vogue Arabia. “My mum worked until she was 82, and I'm planning on following suit. Maybe 85?”

Jenner, who has run the family’s television and business empire for nearly two decades, also spoke candidly about her decision to have a facelift, telling the publication: “I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy,” she explained. “For me, this is ageing gracefully. It's my version.”

She recalled protecting her children in the early days of reality TV, refusing to sign contracts that might have left them vulnerable. Looking back, she said the gamble paid off: The Kardashians is now broadcast in 200 countries and has built a fanbase that remains “emotionally invested in the family.”

Business is never far from the dinner table, she added, with her daughters eager to discuss deals and strategy. “They know they have a mother who wants to make things happen as much as they do, having their best interests at heart. That makes me really happy.”

Jenner also admitted she continues to over-schedule herself, but insists that her packed days keep her energised: “When I go to bed at night, I put my head on the pillow and I think, ‘God, that was a great day.’”

The mum-of-five, who oversees nine brands under the Kardashian-Jenner umbrella including Skims, Kylie Cosmetics and Good American, features on the cover of Vogue Arabia’s September issue, photographed by Norman Jean Roy and styled by Law Roach.

The full exclusive interview and feature will be available in the September issue of Vogue Arabia and are available now on Vogue Arabia’s website www.voguearabia.com.
